Michael Rapaport joins 'Prison Break'

To play a government agent in a regular role on the series

Michael Rapaport has joined Fox's "Prison Break" as a regular.

On the 20th Century Fox TV-produced "Prison Break," Rapaport will play a government agent who has an interesting offer for Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and his brother (Dominic Purcell). Production on the upcoming fourth season begins this month in Los Angeles.

Prison Break recently began filming their 4th season in Los Angeles, after spending the first three in Texas. Though we are months away from the season premiere, FOX has already announced several new characters joining the show. BuddyTV has reported that a hacker, an assassin, and an FBI handler will also become major players in the season 4 storyline. The BuddyTV readers, however, can’t seem to decide which character they’re most excited about. It was a 3-way split in our poll, with the most votes going to the assassin, bringing 37%. Let’s take a closer look at the new characters and see how they’ll play into Michael’s life as he goes full speed ahead with his revenge plans for The Company.

Season 4 will feature a nerdy hacker to join forces with the brothers for at least 6 episodes. The character has not been cast yet but is described by E! Online as a talker whose big mouth gets him into trouble. The character signs on to help Michael and Lincoln take down the company. BuddyTV’s editor, John Kubicek, already began drawing comparisons to Damien Spinelli, of General Hospital. Do two tough guys need a bumbling hacker who hurts more than he helps? Let’s hope the hacker isn’t supposed to become the comic relief from the serious life of two everyday heroes trying to take down a top notch government organization. When it comes to vengeance, there’s no time for wisecracks.

The Company will be bringing on a deadly assassin, who’s been waiting for his turn to get in the game. Where has this guy been and why did we need to wait so long to bring him up to speed on what’s been going on? Perhaps Susan thought she could handle things herself but grossly misjudged the situation. The third and final character to be announced is an FBI handler who helps Michael and Lincoln go up against The Company. It seems that this is the role that Michael Rappaport will be filling though FOX has made no official comment to that effect. Of the three new characters, the handler with inside information (and the good guy) seems the most likely fit for Rappaport.

Bien que nous soyons à des mois de la sortie du premier épisode, FOX a déjà annoncé que plusieurs nouveaux personnages se joindraient à la série. BuddyTV a rapporté qu’un hacker, un assassin, et un agent du FBI deviendront des personnages importants dans l’histoire de la saison 4. Cependant, les lecteurs de BuddyTV n’arrivent pas à décider lequel des personnages les excite le plus. Il étaient trois à se départager dans notre sondage, avec le plus de votes allant à l’assassin remportant 37%. Regardons de plus près ces nouveaux personnages, et voyons comment ils vont jouer dans la vie de Michael alors qu’il est à fond dans ses projets de vengeance contre la Compagnie.

La saison 4 présentera un hacker fort en thème qui s’alliera avec les frères pendant au moins 6 épisodes. L’acteur n’a pas encore été choisi, mais le personnage a été écrit pas E ! Online comme un bavard dont la grande gueule va lui causer des ennuis. Le personnage s’emploie pour aider Michael et Lincoln à faire tomber la Compagnie. L’éditeur de BuddyTV, John Kubicek, a déjà commencé les comparaisons avec Damien Spinelli de General Hospital. Est ce que deux durs ont besoin d’un hacker grognon qui fait plus de mal que de bien ? espérons que ce hacker ne devienne pas l’échappatoire comique de la vie grave de deux héros sans imortance qui essayent de détruire une organisation gouvernementale haut placée. A l’heure de la vengeance, pas de temps pour les petits malins.

La Compagnie amènera un assassin cruel, qui a attendu son tour pour entrer dans le jeu. Où était ce type, et pourquoi avons nous du attendre aussi longtemps pour le mettre au courant sur ce qui se passe ? peut être que Susan a pensé qu’elle pouvait s’occuper des choses elle même, mais a grossièrement mal évalué la situation.
Le troisième et dernier personnage à être annoncé est un agent du FBI qui aide Michael et Lincoln à aller contre la Compagnie. Il semblerait que ce soit le rôle que Michael Rappaport remplira bien que FOX n’ait fait aucun commentaire à cet effet. Des trois nouveaux personnages, l’agent en possession d’informations confidentielles (et le « bon ») est le rôle qui semble mieux aller à Rappaport.

Ack. Things aren't looking good for Bailey's marriage on Grey's. Cress Williams, who plays the chief resident's increasingly fed-up hubby (and prior to that enjoyed gigs on a variety of series including Close to Home and ER), has landed a role on Fox's Prison Break.

Williams will play Wyatt, the latest assassin employed by The Company to brings brothers Michael and Lincoln's seemingly endless run to an... end. Prison Break returns for Season 4 on Monday, Aug. 25, with a two-hour episode.

Any other Cress fans out there? I've been familiar with his work since ER's early days, yes, and will always remember him giving Mr. Mars a scare on Veronica Mars.

les choses ne sont pas exactement au mieux pour le mariage de Bailey dans Grey’s Anatomy. Cress Williams, qui joue le mari du chef des internes, mari qui en a de plus en plus marre (et avant ça eu des rôles dans tout un assortiment de séries telles que Close to Home et Urgences), a décroché un rôle dans Prison Break de Fox.

Williams jouera Wyatt, le dernier assassin en date embauché pas la Compagnie pour… mettre un terme à la course apparemment sans fin des frères Lincoln et Michael. Prison Break revient pour la 4e saison le 25 Août avec un épisode de deux heures.

Y’a-t-il d’autres fans de Cress par ici ? je le connais depuis l’époque où il travaillait sur Urgences des débuts, oui, et je me souviendrais toujours de lui fichant la trouille à M. Mars dans Veronica Mars.
